What is the DJs experience?

We only have one DJ on staff.  He has almost 20 years of experience in the entertainment & special events industries.

The DJ will tailor the music & lighting to what is suitable for your event.  He will take note of your guests reactions to various styles of music and make sure that the right music mix that will please everyone's taste.. 

We also have clean edits of all of the popular songs so you don’t have to worry about hearing inappropriate language.  Our DJs will ensure that everything will go smoothly for you at the function so when you put the entertainment in our hands, you'll have nothing to worry about.

Do you take requests?

Most definitely!  We encourage it.  And we'll play them as soon as we can.  That is one of the things we are known for.  Also check out our "one of a kind" TEXT-A-QUEST feature where we can accept requests via text from your phone.  Also, don't forget about our DJ Event Planning System.

What about song selection?

We have  well over 200,000 of songs in a wide variety of genres and styles, truly something for everyone; from top 40 to country, traditional Newfoundland music to rock, classics to hip hop and everything in between.  We also have the top 100 billboard hits from 1946 through to 2014 and the latest 2015 releases.. 

In addition we have DJ only promo collections, and the top 1000 albums according to Rolling Stone Magazine.  We are always adding to this massive library.  It is an never-ending job that we take so much pride in doing.

A discussion between you and ourselves will include special songs you would like to hear as well as ones you don’t, or as we like to call it a "NO PLAY" list.  All of this combined with our Online Entertainment Planning system make planning your DJ options more accessable then ever.

What equipment are you using?

We use only professional sound and lighting effects from industry reconized leaders such as Denon, American DJ & the brand new Yorkville Parasource line of PA speakers for the best true to life sound..

Will there be a consultation?

Consultations are free of charge.  They are a meeting between you and us so we can work out all the details of the entertainment you would like to have at your event.  At a consultation you are welcomed to tell us about your choices in music, lighting, times and so on.  It allows us to get to know your wants and needs in a more "relaxed" manner.

These consultations can be held in person at a location of your choice, over the phone, via email, Facebook, Skype or MSN, whatever is more convenient for you.  We all lead such busy lives that sometimes its easier just to pop off an email, or chat on the phone and with Newfoundlanders and Labradorians living and working all over the globe these days, it is important that a service provider made every effort possible so that the distance doesn't pose an inconvenience for the prospective client. 

We also have the DJ Event Planning software that allows our clients to access our system via their assigmed UserName & Password.  Clients can plan just about every aspect of how their event's entertainment will unfold thoughout the evening.

Either way we want you to feel that its ok to contact us as much as you want to make sure we understand and accommodate your wishes and every request.

Payment Options-Do you take credit cards? Cheques? Cash?

We accept payment via various convenient means such as Email Money Transfers, All Major Credit Cards in Canada, Cheque & Cash.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express (AMEX).  There is no extra charge for paying by this method.  This method is instant and you will have an automatic electronic and paper trail of our transaction for your piece of mind.  We will also issue you though your online account, an official E-Receipt for your records.  You can also view any payments may to us by going online and signing into the Planning System.

We also accept cheques made out to "2020 Entertainment".

Privacy Policy

20/20 Entertainment DJ Services. is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information you provide to us. Any personal information that 20/20 Entertainment DJ Services retains is kept in such a manner as to ensure its security and confidentiality at all times.

In the event that you should choose to send 20/20 Entertainment DJ Services. your e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, addresses and/or any personal information so that we may communicate with you, 20/20 Entertainment Services. will not sell, trade or rent this information to third parties.

20/20 Entertainment DJ Services. may transfer information to service providers where information processing is outsourced by 20/20 Entertainment DJ Services. in the course of its administrative distribution procedures. Where personal information is transferred to a service provider for processing, we require the service provider to respect this Privacy Policy and we restrict them from using or disclosing personal information transferred to them for any purpose other than the provision of services to us or to our clients.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or receive from us electronically. This is especially true for information you transmit to us via e-mail. We have no way of protecting that information until it reaches us. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best efforts to ensure its security on our servers.

At 20/20 Entertainment DJ Services, we are committed to providing our valued clients the best possible service.  These policies have been put in place to ensure that the planning process and provision of services by us will be a smooth and enjoyable one for our clients.  These policies are not set in stone.  We will make every reasonable effort to provide the DJ Services that our clients deserve - Beyond their expectations.

Booking policy
- The Client must express intentions on booking 20/20 Entertainment DJ Services in writing
- The Client must return a filled out and signed Service Agreement along with a required minimum deposit

- Deposits are required to book the date - Once we receive the required deposit, we will reserve that date for you and will not accept any more bookings on that date to provide DJ service to anyone else.
- Deposits are NON-Refundable under any circumstances - Although they are considered a deposit, they are in fact payment for us reserving a date for the client.
- Should there be no damage to 20/20 Entertainment DJ Services property or injury to staff, 100% of the Deposit amount will be used as a payment towards the final balance.
- Payments can be made by the following, Email Money Transfer, Cheque made out to 20/20 Entertainment, VISA, MasterCard, AMEX & Cash.

Cancellations/Postponement of Event
- Must be made in Writing
- We must be made aware of the cancellation as soon as the decision to cancel or postponement has been made.
- No refunds on the required Deposit made to hold your date.
- If you have extra money paid towards DJ Services beyond the required deposit, we will refund you that amount
- In the event of a Postponement, you have the option of applying your deposit towards an alternate date within 12 months after the date of the original booking.  This is subject to availability.  Also, the quote will no longer apply and the rescheduled event will be subject to the current pricing of the day.

DJ Entertainment Planning Consultations & Event Planning System Access
-20/20 Entertainment DJ Services will be available for consultations in Person and over the phone at a time that is convenient to you.  These consultations are at no additional cost to you and are apart of the service that we provide our clients.
- We will also be accessible by Email & Facebook for our clients to contact us and we will provide prompt answers to your questions or concerns that you may have.
- The Online Planning System is a tool to that we offer to our clients as a "value" added service.  The Client has the option to NOT use the planning system.
- We will also provide an Online DJ Planning System Username & Password to our clients so they can submit ideas along with requests 24 hours a day - 7 days a week leading up to their event.
- Clients should have all details along with their song requests in to us by 7 days prior to their event.
- After the 7 Days, clients will still be able to access the system, We will do our best to keep track of those last minute updates, however we can not guarantee that all changes/updates made will be noted by us.
- The client will be LOCKED out of their account about 3 days before the event.  Please email shane@2020entertainment.ca or call 754-9725 (area code 709) to have your account reopened.

Work area & Safety
- Client must ensure that there will be a table and a chair for us to set up our equipment on
- The table will be located in an area where there is at least 1 outlet with in 25 feet from the table for us to plus our equipment into and that it has a proper power supply as not to trip breakers and cause any interruptions to the Entertainment.
- If any of these conditions at the venue cannot be met for whatever reason, please notify us and we can make reasonable arrangements to deal with these issues in a timely manor.
- As a courtesy to your older guests, please place the older guests away from the speakers.

Music Requests & Content
- 20/20 Entertainment DJ Services gives Clients and their guests unprecedented flexibility in requesting songs for us to play.  However, we have put in place guidelines that will ensure that everyone will have a great time.
- We reserve the right to refuse to play requests that we deem to use explicit language that may offend guests/clients, when minors are present..
- When a song has been specified  on the DO NOT PLAY list that was submitted by the client
- When the song has been requested that clearly falls outside of what the clients had specified as appropriate for their event

Projector/Screen Rentals/Setup/Teardown
- 20/20 Entertainment DJ Services will ensure that the Projector is in working order
- Unless the Client has requested Slide Show production services to be provided by 20/20 Entertainment, they will be reasonable for the successful playback of the slide show.  They will also will be responsible for providing the appropriate playing device for the Slide Show to run on. This may include a laptop or DVD player.  The sideshow must be completed and working to client's satisfaction prior to the event time.  The equipment provided by the Client must also be in working order at time of use. 
- 20/20 Entertainment cannot be held responsible for non-working sideshows, or equipment beyond the Projector and Screen.
- 20/20 Entertainment can take on the production & running of your Sideshow at an extra fee.
